12 thousand fashion style and new style -conscious women motorists are jeopardizing their lifestyles by dressed in eyewear which restrict their view of the street.

The the greater part of The united kingdom's 14.4million women motorists confess to putting style before protection, research has shown.

But street protection experts say they should jettison the large wide-armed variety of eyewear used by Kylie Minogue, London Hilton and Victoria Beckham - as well as those with light red or very black contacts.

The Eyecare Believe in charitable organisation also recommended females to make protection their first concern with eyewear for generating.

More than eight out of ten females (82 per cent) interviewed did not consider protection when selecting eyewear for generating - comparative to 11.8million women motorists.

One in ten - 1.3million - generate in wide-armed cups that seriously limit their side-line perspective. A further 7 % use contacts that are so black they are unlawful for generating.

The scientists requested by insurance provider Sheilas' Tires also discovered that less than one in five (18 per cent) of females purchased eyewear particularly for generating while almost two-thirds (61 per cent) centered their choice on overall look rather than functionality.

More than 50 percent (57 per cent) want better labelling and more information in stores on which are the best designs for motorists to buy.

Niki Bolton, of car insurance providers Sheilas' Tires, said: "Too many females motorists are unacquainted with the risks of dress style in some of this year's most popular sunglasses' designs when generating.

"Wide hands and black contacts shades may be the must-haves of the moment, but fashion- aware females should put protection before design when in control of a car."

The Eyecare Believe in analyzed five style of stylish eyewear and found that only two weresuitable for generating.

Trustee Rosie Gavzey said the pitch-dark colors fall short to allow a lowest proscribed eight % of noticeable light through and are unlawful.

Pink colored style contacts can make it difficult to read road symptoms or spot risks by muffling colors and wide-armed cups create sightless areas.

Aviator design cups that bend around the sight and have thin hands are suggested, along with anti-reflective contacts colored in fairly neutral brownish or greyish colors.

Mrs Gavzey said: "Chunky supports could cause a threat when generating. Drivers need good all-round perspective and a noticeable range of at least 120 levels.
